HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
RETROFIT PROGRAM incentives are based on your before-and-after energy savingsThe RETROFIT PROGRAM provides funding for replacing inefficient equipment with high-efficiency equipment. Incentives are based on the difference between the amount of electricity you’re using now and the amount you will be using after the project is completed. Typically, retrofit projects deliver:

  • Lower operating and maintenance expenses
  • Decreased energy consumption and costs.

kW usage before retrofit > kW usage after retrofit = Amount payable for retrofit incentive

Incentives are available under three tracks:
PRESCRIPTIVE, ENGINEERED or CUSTOM
PRESCRIPTIVE
Select your project from a set list of measures, each with a corresponding incentive. For upgrades to existing equipment, the incentive amount depends on the type, efficiency and quantity of equipment installed.
ENGINEERED
Complete our pre-set calculation worksheets that estimate reductions in peak demand and/or electricity consumption and then automatically calculate the incentive amount.
CUSTOM
For measures not covered under either the PRESCRIPTIVE or ENGINEERED tracks, we offer incentives based on verified energy savings.

WHAT ARE THE INCENTIVES?
There are two levels of incentives providing up to 50% of project costs (100% of the material costs for the prescriptive track)
PRESCRIPTIVE ENGINEERED CUSTOM
Lighting Per unit incentives The greater of either $400/kW of demand savings or $0.05/kWh of first year electricity savings (to a maximum of 50% of project costs) The greater of either $400/kW of demand savings or $0.05/kWh of first year electricity savings (to a maximum of 50% of project costs)
